Default Any mountain bikers out there?

Hey everyone

Right i am doing up my old bike so I can pootle about on. Thing is tho, I would like to fit some front suspension forks! I have got an old set, but they don't fit. The diameter of the original steerer tube is 1", but all forks i've found on ebay are 1 1/8, so they won't fit.

Does anyone know if 1" suspension forks are available?

Thanks

Rich

Good luck mate!!!!

Only thing you'll really get are some shite RST's.

Are they threaded or Ahead do you know? (i.e, do they raise and lower with the bolt in the centre, or do they have 2 pinch bolts either side?)

TBH i don't think you're gonna find 1" forks now.

Buy a new frame! If yours has 1" headtube it must be pretty old, and you'd be amazed at how much better geometry and handling have improved on bikes. No need to go silly with a cannondale or whatever frame, most of the Taiwanese frames are the same material, smae geometry, made in the same factry etc, just without the name or the price tag to accompany it.
