whats needed to convert a mk1 fiesta to rwd? i have a rs1800 fiesta and would use this as a donor engine.

what gearbox?
what rear axle and suspension?
what front hubs?
what engine mounts?
what fabrication work is needed apart from a tunnel?
could a floor be cut out and used from a suitable vehicle and what car would that be?
what else is involved?
anyone got a haynes manual for the conversion

any help would be greatly appreciated

But you have almost covered everything apart from the fire wall
and a little cut out at the back for the rear diff and depends from what gear you are ussing you may need to move some bit here and the for the suspention arms lol hope that helps a bit

 

But why do you use a FWD engine to convert to RWD? Why don't you use a whole RWD unit like the OHC or DOHC?

Don't have a Haynes for this but loads of german manuals :P

just put the zetec engine and box in the back its really not that hard
