As title really. Lots of Gold Members paying £20 per year. Lots of Traders paying god knows what per year to advertise their business and services, but still piss poor performance from PF in the evenings mostly.

Does any of our money actually get spent on performance issues and maintenace or does it just keep Stu and Pet on Steak, Chips and Red wine every night?

people dont work for free as Iam sure no one whom uses this site does,the sites costs money the admin costs time.The fees paid goes towards this what ever Stu and Pet makes is there business not ours
If you do not agree to the fess charged for either gold or trade membership you dont have to pay no one is making you,its as simple as that
also if you dont pay the gold fee this also does not allow you to moan about the running and rules of this site

 

have you lot even thought about hosting cost and let alone the bandwith this site uses

Absolutely right Pete, The piss poor performance of this website in the evenings is precisely the reason why i will not renew my gold membership.

 

That is fair enough mate thats the desission that you have come too but then you are not entitled to moan about issues on the site its that simple
PF isnt a club its run by 2 people which costs money and time

Thank fuck it is performance related to how many cases you deal with, and ever since I took on the roll of moderating Chip and Phil, my salary has quadrupled . Thank you all the Gold members (especially the whinging ones) .

 

From what i hear, they are raising money to make a t.v programme in ethiopia called Third World Fat Fighters

 

as I said the question has been answered,you asked where the money went "its goes to Stu and Pet" which in turn pay out of the fees collected the costs of running this site plus a few quid for themself as i said no one works for free or do you as if you do please come over to me i have a job for you
Now if you would have asked what percentage goes to the costs of the site and wjat percentage goes to there wages now that is a totally different question which basically it has not got a damm thing to do with anyone as this site isnt a club and does not have to justify the costs,so again if someone isnt happy they havnt got to pay,I pay and Iam happy

The side effect to the related question of site performance, is going to be the decline in renewals unless improvements are made.

People are paying for something that doesn't work. In the real world you'd expect complaints!

I personally don't care where the money goes, but I've paid for something so i'd like to use it. Not just sit at screen saying cannot connect to database every night. I don't even own a ford anymore, and still support PF.

I agree with all you've said there. I too don't have a Ford anymore either. With the slowness and constant critical errors at night, I have given up trying to open up PF later on in an evening.

I pay 30 quid a year to use xbox live. If that service had half the problems or performance issues that PF suffers, id expect a refund. As said, this isnt a club, these are not donations. This is a paid up service.

As a contributor, we have the right to ask why we cant use what we've paid for.

 

But we dont have the right apprently, hence the smart arse comments from mods on this thread.
