I've found a late mk3 Fiesta with a large vinyl (or canvas?) sunroof. It has been off the road for a while and will probably need some work, but at the right price I think this could be an interesting project. I'm going to taka a look later this week.

Was this kind of sunroof a factory extra or only an aftermarket thing? Should I just walk away if the roof fabric is worn or damaged? I've seen some crazy prices on cabriolet kits.

I've seen one or two of these before - I guess it must have been a special order of some kind. They are quiet unusual...

i knew a guy that had a 4 door silver mk3 with one.
tbh the roof looked a bit toss IMO

 

I've only ever seen one. I think they look a bit wank to be honest. Remind me of a Citroen Dolly but each to their own

 

It was a Calypso and it looked kinda cute,

but the roof was taped and glued several places and I found rust on one rear arch, one outer sill and around the filler cap (no surprise). It was also a '92, not '94 as I was told.

I told the seller I wasn't interested unless it was virtually free.

I didn't find any Webasto-logos on the roof, but it had the same button as Escort mk6 cabrios (and probably others).
