I'm no Islamaphobe but Scrap the "Mega Mosque!"
If you feel that this building is not justified and should not happen...
Read on and act accordingly

We need to act now before it's too late
Don't know if you have heard about this but Ken Livingstone is apparently planning to use tax payer's money to build an enormous mosque costing an estimated £100M in the docklands.
Would it not be better to spend the money on a new hospital or improved transport facilities, anything but a scheme such as this:
The mosque will be BIGGER THAN ST PAUL'S!!!
The plan is for the mosque to be so big so that people flying in from all over the world for the 2012 Olympics will see it as the biggest landmark in London, bigger than St Pauls, Westminster Abbey or Wembley Stadium.
The vote so far is 56 % in favour. It looks like the Muslim community in the UK is casting its vote in droves, and as usual the British are burying their heads in the sand It is an undemocratic use of British Tax payers money, especially when our Churches that are 100's of years old get no government funding to keep their structures standing, and we are supposedly a Christian Nation. To vote to "Scrap the 'Mega-Mosque"

IMO, if they want to do something they will do it, if there is public outcry, they may claim it can't go ahead, but will be due to them finding issues rather than them backing down.

If they want to do it, they wont care what the pulic say, across the road they are about to build a big block of flats, council ones, knocking down our local newsagents, and takeaway, the whole estate turned up to the night where they were basically in a deciding vote whether to go ahead with it or not, every single one of the people living on this estate said no, so they got the planning permission up now. It dont matter about no votes or what we say, they do what they want, and get what they want (i mean the government or Ken Livingstone who is just a prick in a 100 ways)

They tried to build one up here in the Black Country.. That got told to basically fuck off by all the locals..
Now there trying to get it built again
and if It does get built.. I sure hope some of the local Chavs petrol bomb the place.. thats £18 million down the shitter then

The land could be used for Football pitches, basketball courts, indoor karting etc etc.... not a freakin place of worship

All youre comments are fair enough,but what none of you seem to understand is that Britian has allowed all these muslims to live amongst you for years.Britian now has an active educated muslim community who know their rights and also have certain council figures who support them,K Livingstone being one high profile figure.These muslims will just use whatever planning/grant laws the state has to obtain and build this mosque.Its now too late after 50 years to rid Britian of these people,sure the international community would be in uproar if Brown said he would deport all muslims from the island.Only thing that can be done is for M15 to moniter them (the muslim community)and hope any bomb plots/civil unrest can be found out before it happens.Regards,Micky

Why do they need it to be so large when there aren't all that many of them? We need another Australia where we can put the polish and muslims and forget about them. You have to be polite in return if they are to you but i don't want these in my life. Just wait for a few to say some muslims were born here. Like USA they come over to use us for the cash and then try to set up their own little country/street/town/area. This is England ffs.

They're everywhere nowadays!!!! I wonder what the percentage of the UK population it is now. As said above Britain has been letting them in over here for years now and would be impossible to stop it happening. *goes and gets my suitcase and heads off to the US or somewhere*

i wish people would actually read what the story's are about and where they come from before they post up these sorts of fables
on the flip side, there is a big mosque in southall that kills the traffic on a friday afternoon so there is that aspect to contend with, but we don't seem to get loads of loonies stopping the traffic by holding preayers in the middle of the streets (the fookers would probably get run over )

Aint there enough mosques? If the london olympics are meant to re install english national pride, then why the fuk would we build it so it dominates the london skyline? AND theres plans to build one up here in Preston as well! What happened to we shall never surrender?
