Evening everyone, I've had my own website built which originally was intended to follow my progress through Formula Woman. Unfortunately I haven't been able to attract any sponsors so I'm going to have to pull out of the championship.
Now that I have my website I might aswell make some use of it so I'm looking for ideas about what I can include in it to make it interesting. I still want it to have some info about the track days that I will be doing but I also want to include other things. Can you have a look at it and let me know what you think. I know that some of the photos in the Gallery aren't great but they are only there so that I can choose the best ones and keep them up. Take a look and let me know what your thoughts are

Do away with the scrollinng section - makes the site feel cramped.
Black is not the best colour to use for a website unless theres a specific reson for it. Black sites tend to have a morbid feel to them.

cheeRS guys
Looks good. I would have a motorsport pic on the front page though, ie you in a car/action shot, text underneath at what event, placing etc and just a small pic of yourself. Dont get me wrong you look great but I think you should push the m/sport image a bit more just my opinion.
Just had a quick look.
I would say it looks a little jumbled whilst looking empty
Everything seems to be squashed in, maybe it is just my screen size, but on opening up the home page, the text runs right to the edge of your picture, it should't, everything should sit in it's own space so it is clean and clear and easy to take in.
Your black and white picture is really nice, and gives an idea of someone who is really out going, switched on, determined, strong, fun, healthy and energetic, maybe reduce the space it takes up though. It does give you a feeling of wanting to know more and getting a feel of what your upto, so more of this would be good for the site.
I would either switch from the black or introduce another colour with some blend, maybe some graphics to give it depth whilst softening the black.
The listings for Home, Gallery etc, may look nicer sectioned off down one side. Or have a stronger header band and run them under that.
I would like to see and expected to see lots more shots of you on track, in the pit lane type images, lots going on, you in racing suit bonnet up, talking over tweaks with support team etc etc
Maybe you don't have any, can't you get out to a track day and get some taken, made up stuff/possed.
The girly shots are cool, I actually prefer the style of the black and white one, feels more one on one than the studio shots. Again, drop the scroll bit, open the page up more and select a few and have them all open up in a grid, again, maybe have a few glam shots as you have, but also some real time pictures - still with a sexy edge, maybe some shots of you in the photo shoot camera on camera on model type of thing, then a few chilling out looking over the shots etc - just have someone with a decent camera following you about taking shots while you don't try to pay attention, so that it is a little fly on the wall type thing.
Sponsors, Lets promote this page, after all, if you want sponsorship, then make it a place they want their logo?!?
Each sponsor should have a designed designated section with logo - create if one not available.
Now, to promote area, what about a running advert band that flows along the bottom, like a we have on this page, make people see where they will be being promoted, actually, looks at the style of the virgin banner, some nice eliments there, could incorp into your sight??
All all in I think it is ok, but think each bit just needs looking at, and spend some time planning out the page, looking at other sites to see what looks good and what doesn't and then sketch each page out so that your web designer can see what you want.

, I'll show my web designer your comments. I'm at Croft on Saturday so I'll get some more photos of me on track and with the car. The site is still a work in progress and its great to get some comments about what could be changed. Thanks for that Matt, really appreciate it.

That would be good, after all, you've got to think about what people your targeting with the site.
You need to show a side that is a petrolhead, that knows her stuff and makes interesting reading with plenty of info, background on the cars, how your getting on, what your overcoming etc etc.
