Mrs is looking at a megane coupe

what should we be looking out for anything in particular to watch out for?

In particular the 1.6 16v engine any good?

older meganes suffer from electrical problems particularly ecu's......

 

Go for the 2ltr engine version - its the Williams engine - 150bhp!

What to look for? A different car.

French car= Wank, in huge amounts. The only thing wanker than french cars is working on french cars. If you buy one you need your head looking at, Never has a pile of brittle plastic and horrid thin kitkat wrapper thick metal ever been put to a worse use, and the electrics look good......if you like a burnt charred mess on the floor of your car and random flashing lights

Yeh the coil packs always go its better 2 change the coils in pairs cause if u replace cylinder 1 coil ur can b sure that no 4 will go 2. Like said above renaults r a awful car 2 work on.

 

yep, coils are a problem

my mums megane is a 1.6 16v, has got very low mileage (30k in 8 years) and has needed the coils changing several times. Also, the brakes are pretty wank

 

ive got one for sale-coil packs work,red with full grey leather,brakes work,lights work.
