Hii.. I have been cleaning up in the shead found one of these!!! Brand new.. wheel have been tryed on a car(NEVER driven) and then stored for some reason for several years.

Is it correct it mk3 escorts only??

What is it woth today??

The wheel is worth something, but im pretty sure the Mk3 bosses arent. Seem them go on ebay for little money.

 

i would like to say its only worth Ł50 so i could buy it,but its worth a few quid mate........never find these things in my garage

Is was very unsure about the boss.. but the steering wheel is deffenently interesting! But Iam not seeling at the moment, but I will sell sell it cause I dont need it at all. It is a real beauty.. could hang it on the wall in the livingroom . even the MOTORCRAFT box is in VERY good condition.

I dont understand why your shocked the wheel is a classic item which suits an RS car perfectly,just look at the price of a new Sparco or Momo wheel and boss so Ł200 for a classic period wheel is what its worth

looks like an S2/sierra boss, as the horn push is on the centre whereas a mk3 horn is on the stalk.

Not all Mk 3 RS' came with the 3 spoke wheel, but the centre part on that is odd, it shouldn't have the horn push if it's to go on a MK 3 Escort.

Either way, when I was looking for one a few years back, one in that condition was selling between Ł80 and Ł100. Ones in rough condition were about Ł40.

 

Thats a mk 4 Escort one you got there(5012676) only diffrence from a MK3 item is the horn push/mk 3 just had a pad the bosses are the same for mk 3 and 4.


Got to be worth Ł250 + IMO as i sold them before very easy for Ł250 even without a boss.

These where around Ł170 new when you could buy them all thoses years ago from ford at least 10 years if not more where the last time they where avab.

 

I havent yet contacted my local Ford dealer to check the partnumber, BUT as I have not personaly bought this steeringwheel I was told when it became in my poccession, that is was bought when the first escort frontwheeler(that was why I guessed mk3) was avaible in the very early 80´s. I am sure you guys/girls know what you are talking about

Number stamp on the boss should be 5012678 for a mk3/mk4
