New AP's 362x32 fitted. when do they perform?
bedding them in at the mo, so just light braking.
but i expected to have that enormous stopping power
feeling with even the lightest of pedal push?
or will they just come good when bed in?

Are you sure as the grooves on the discs arent from any AP I have seen,
Normaly I recommend 200miles carefull driving before testing them but this also depends on the pads on how they are meant to be beaded in.

I would of thought the pads were the main thing causing a crap feel on the pedal.
Aren't they a bit of a overkill on a 300hp chavalier

If AP dont make discs then why is it that they are the only people to supply them for the Lotus Carlton

I have a dozen of those boxes mate so I am quite sure AP DO make discs.
As AP do brake kits I'd be suprised if they use someone elses discs in their package

I spoke to AP about getting discs for mine and they said they only make the calipers and then put me in touch with a company called BG developments who make the kits up for each car.

I found that when i went from 4pot 330mm APs
to 6 pot 355mm APs they did have less bite and feel softer in use
but they worked well when hit hard

If you want to get ultra sharp braking just touching the pedal then you need to fit a bigger master cylinder. This will push more fluid pressure down the brake lines for a smaller movement of the pedal.
Fitting bigger brake calipers often reduces the sharpness of the pedal as they have a bigger piston area and therefore takes more fluid pressure to push the pistons into the pads etc. Therefore fitting a bigger master cylinder will compensate for this.
But for a track car it is good to have a weaker setup to allow for more modulation on the brake pedal (depending on driver preference)
Also pads can affect it of course, but you have DS2500's and they are good!

As above mate, its important to get the right MC if possible.
I left mine alone on the nova but have have recently tried a astra 16v cylinder to improve the feel of the pedal.
Not sure how well its worked yet as the car hasn't been used
