I agree, it shouldn't take place!

They use the site and the features it gives, so contribute to the running of it

not true pete as i contribute to the site as i use the site, its not a business thing for me, nor alot of others, people contributed before the only gold members can post items for sale so i dont understand why ya say that

the 20 quid aint to advertised its for the use of the site imo

pete did you instantly pay the traders fee when itbwas offered or did ya wait a bit, not a dig mate but a question for ya

i think it benifits all and stops all this shite if people pay who want to and the tight fookers who use the site all the time yet dont pay should be fooked off

thats how i feel but then im sure that wont benifit the traders

why not make only paying members allow to se adds for sael, then we get to see and not have the people who use it as a autojumble only get the deasl

oh and why have you buy rs's off people on here as then they can sell to you but can advertise to anyone on here yet there using the site to sell ???

so many things to monitor and makes soooo much bad blood lets ditch theonly you can do this crap and only have honerable members who pay as they want to

not cause they wanna flog a dead shite box of a car and they had no luck else where so as a last resort put in on the new members who trust the gold members when they buy cars as they feel they will stay on the scene

Petrucci I think has the right to do as he pleases, he pays for the site to be run, after all it is HIS site

I can see how this annoys people, but if you were looking for a new car and there was one put up for sale on here that you liked by a gold member for his mate, would you be all that bothered then?

Think its out of order if you post for another member of the site and the BTT it and answer all the questions.

I think its fine if you post for a friend/family that doesn't have internet access. i.e I posted my Sister in-laws car. She doesn't even have a PC.

well what about traders who only pay the 20quid membership but advertise on here anyway-i asked stu if i could become a gold member and advertise a few cars a year in for sale section- its only rare i get something that would appeal to people on here, but because i'd been upfront and let it known i'm a trader he said no you have to pay trade rates- thats fair enough and if i thought i could advertise enough cars on here to warrant it i would pay. but after my reply from stu i look in cars for sale etc and traders who are gold members have cars for sale! fair play to 'em but that doesn't help me.

anybody place an ad for me

TrickyDicky,
Official traders pay MORE than £20 I can assure you.
It is the gold members who pay £20

I agree with some of you that if its puting adds on for other pf users who are not goldmembers then this is unfair
but
If its for people who have no/limited internet access then i cant really see the problem

I know that , if you care to reread my post I wanted just gold membership to ad maybe 3 or 4 cars a year on here-I couldn't warrant paying the trade rate when i rarely have cars that appeal to peeps on here.

i know trade is dearer thats why my comment about gold members being trade etc.

thats cleared that up.

Just gauging interest on this topic, but if I put my brother's car up for sale on this forum, would that be out of order, bearing in mind he's been on here about twice in his life?

I personaly think it is ok to advertise a friends or relatives car on here for them as long as they are not someone who uses the site and just doesn't want to pay 20 quid!! That is why i voted in agreement with Pete as that is what i thought he meant? How the hell you would police that would be another thing

yes I did pay my fees also if you care to ask Stu I suggested the traders pay for adsvertising as it would stop the wanabee bedroom traders from using the board
only paying members get yo use the site to sell items simple pay your money get the benifits

What about non gold members paying like a £5 donation to post up a car for sale via paypal or summit. and £2 For parts.
I payed my £20 to help PF, I never wanted to see a divide.

this post was started for a reason being gold memebers are using there ability to advertise items for other regular board uses who havt paid there membership, this is taking the piss and should be stopped
I suugest you all go into the cars for sale section and check out B19 TRB post relating the "petes track car for sale" warley daddy a very regular user of this board who has not paid his membership and a gold member has advertised his car and to top it all of hes a bloody moderator, come on read the rules boys its all there for us to see,and moderators if you cant do your job give it up and let someone eles with the boards interests do it

thats a fair point pete, if i'd paid fees of any sort i'd expect people to do the same to use the facilities available.

TrickyDicky,
but after my reply from stu i look in cars for sale etc and traders who are gold members have cars for sale! fair play to 'em but that doesn't help me.
Im sorry you werent too happy with my reply but at least i was honest and told you what i expected. As for gold members being traders, why not tell someone instead of making a bit of a dig about it?

At this very moment in time, PassionFord averages 1,335.95 new posts per DAY It is very hard for our limited webteam to police this and if you saw our sinbin, you would realise its the 3rd busiest forum in the entire site, proving our webteam doa great job of moving and deleting stuff but unfortunately, things can slip through.... how about helping instead of critisising?

who said i weren't happy with your reply, i'm a business man stu same as yourself, i put a proposal to you that i'd only ad a few cars a year-i know i'm trade and fairplay you have to treat me same as pete etc who do pay trade rates or they would have good reason to moan-justified to!

i'm not having a dig, at the moment it would be pointless me paying for gold membership if i cant advertise nowt but i dont think i could justify myself paying the trade rate as unlike pete etc i do mundane stuff which is of little interest to people on here-maybe the odd one or 2!

as said i understand and agree with you-it was my own fault for being upfront and honest!
