Default T3 conversion on FRST

My bro finally opened that wallet of his and had his FRST converted to T3 and had the beige injectors and rechip done.

What a transformation He took me for a quick razz last night and I was impressed at the transformation in the car

Cheers To Steve (Monica ) Barratt at SCC for undertaking the conversion. Matt is chuffed with the conversion

It feels very good. A little more laggy but it just pulls and pulls once on song

pulls well in 5th? i put a t25 on mine but still runs out of steam at around 115!

how does it compare to your escort? is the difference in weight of the car and gearing, etc noticeable?

It's not as quick as my motor but it was suprisingly quicker than I thought it was going to be and I did think it would be quick. He'll definately be able to make me work now to beat him. With the other mods on the car I reckon if I said it was at 200bhp it wouldn't be far shy of the mark

i was told if i ran 14 psi in mine id be hitting around 200hp. with a t3 it will move a lot more air so i think 200 will be even easier to achieve. get it RR'ed i say!!

rolling road is on the cards but I'm trying to talk him into uprating the fuelpump to cope with the extra demands. It's fine at the mo but he has been advised to get it sorted. As per usual my little bro knows better than the experts

My bro's spec is

Intercooler
Kent cam CVH34 (I think)
Beige injectors
Stage 1 Hybrid
15psi
Bailey breather kit
Chip

So 200bhp from what you said yours was would seem pretty fair to me

same as mine apart from the cam. at 15 psi i think its easily on the cards. i think a better fuel pump is needed if its going for a long blast on the rollers. i was advised the same if i were planning on higher boost.

are you not getting worried about the competition? it will soon be quicker than yours!
