What do you all think of non-standard number plates??
what do you mean?differnt text or different sizes or private plates?
mines private but normal text on the back and the front is smaller to look tider and get more air to front

Private plates are cool and if the plate is cut down (slighlty) to minimise the amount of blank plastic at the two ends is ok as I've done this on my 6 digit plate (the law states the gap around the edge should be 11mm but doesn't say the plate itself has to be a certain size in length.
I'm on about wanky font and italics...they're so 90's.

As above I agree! The ones with ghosted backgrounds, honeycomb backings, playboy logos etc are absolute shite. I think the cut down ones with slightly smaller lettering are fine as well as the standard size plate but with smaller letters as well. I like German style plates as well!!! (have them myself!!!)

itallic, honeycombe, ford/vauxhall/audi emblem tiled in the back ground really do look utter toilet.
clean, simple letters nicely spaced clean up a front/rear end a treat
there's nothing worse than a nice motor with cracked, 'bled' dirty old number plates. ruins the look IMO

Irish plate and bike sized type is quite all right by me.
With private plates what I can't stand are the expensive dyslexic plates that try and spell out the owners name...... badly
