Lee me and Alex are having this discussion as we speak, I agree with you, but his point is that it makes people talk about it, the same way Liveaid did, to that degree he has a point.

Ill be honest here and say i really dont care for all this energy saving crap. I will continue using the amount of energy i use at present....theres other things that could be done without people having to switch off. America wants sorting first

Have to agree that Foo Fighters were the best of the night and although playing at night as opposed to day does help Grohl definitely put the effort in maybe extra as well because he is a big fan of queen and how they performed at wembley all those years ago.
Good to see Madonna with her black les paul out, not really into her shit but its has to be admired with all the pop shit out there who just sing and can't do much else. Metallica were good nice they went elsewhere when they played enter sandman, like Glastonbury BBC coverage is always on it. Realised it was online too late.
