Default opinions on tyres+size suitable for totb

i dont think my yokos will be any use at totb,so what tyres would suit all 3 events? top speed /1/4 mile/handling? iam thinking toyo r888,235/40/17. i could go for 18s to increase top speed, but i think it may slow down the 1/4 and handling.i need to buy some next week.thanks.

Toyo R888's would probably be your best all rounder...

Unless its either a stinking hot day - or its raining

We've found the 888s to 'go off' a bit after 2 hot laps of circuit racing - which i know TOTB isn't about, but its food for thought.

If you wanted a slightly harder compound - the Yoko 48Rs are a very good tyre

Perhaps consider some 18s with thinner and less grippy tyres for top speed then some 15's (or whatever will fit over your brakes) as wide as possible with some R888s or similar for handling?

i need 17s to fit over the brakes,i think thinner tyres would just spin under acceleration, but i will stand corrected if wrong.
