Default First pictures of new engine/turbo .

The engine is almost complete & today Mark was sorting out details to allow swift change over of 2 turbos , 2 manifolds, 2 inlets & 4/8 injectors.
The Dyno is now booked for 2 maybe 3 days so we can really find out what works best with what.

Yes part of the testing is 2 diff turbo's with a total of 4 combinations/2 exhaust manifolds/2 inlet manifolds, 4 1200cc injectors and 8 750cc injectors the hope is none of the manifolds are better because the inlet is around 3k and the exhaust manifold is the same ,
Some of the testing will be keeped secret and we will prob only let out the max figures as the testing of all these parts is costly and I belive I should be the only one to benafit from it .

is there a reason for choosing the 2wd head mark? i was under the impression it was prone to cracking because of the chamber design? not a dig or anything, just curious as i was going to sell my 2wd head for a 4x4, but if it's okay for big power, i may aswell keep it!

I have used both types of head and found no diff in power or reliablity.

Don't suppose this car does 200mph does it ?

Obviously won't hear the figures which is fair enough but you are certainly going to town on what works best.

Fair play and good luck

Both manifolds are split pulse as is the exhaust housings on the turbo's, The first black manifold works well but the second white one is a very new desgin which I think is better so its the best opportunity to test them.

Now that is interesting, what do you know about cracked 200 blocks Mark ?
I know that the later blocks have had core shift and this has made them weak over 92mm or very high power on smaller bores,
My contact at Cosworth says they are looking to make new blocks/head but the time scale is unsure but I would guess over a year.

Wow - looking good.

Had a quick chat with Mark the morning before Time Attack Silverstone and he said things were moving on with yours

Which turbo is that in the pics? GT4088? GT4094? GT42R variant?

Looking forward to the dyno figures all the same - best of luck

Maybe I'm a tool too but if I bolted a big turbo on a Godfrey design manifold on any engine in my workshop then it would look the same... for once in Dingy's life he is right!!

Having said that Good luck Rod, hope it works for you

Wrong the manifold was made and desgined by PD and this is not the same as the one there made for JG several years ago, and this one was made/adjusted to what I wanted by PD ,
One day we may see yours run at full power but I do belive its been 9 months running on and off seems to me you are scared to run it at full power, Do you think the head will come off
