If you need to ask "does it go straight in", then its not the conversion for you as its quite involved.

It's a major undertaking. You basically need to weld a sierra floorplan into the escort body.

So, unless you're very handy with a welder, or, have 15k to spare, then I suggest buying a cossie to start with

He didnt say the drivetrain too, just the engine.

So presumably he meant FWD

Which is a lot easier, although still hard work and doesnt make as good a car as a corsa with a calibra turbo engine that you can do in a couple of weekends, so pretty pointless, lol

And considering a zetec turbo would be easier and cheaper for the same power......

Still, wouldn't do a very good 1/4 mile though

If you're thinking of a quick engine swap mate, forget it

They weren't designed to fit a Mk4 Escort, and Mk4 Escorts weren't designed to take them.

seems pointless to me, as by the time it's done it ends up weighing the same as a sierra anyhow, but more than likely has less rigidity to it and handles poorly.....so it's purely just a styling thing?

that said, mk4 cossie escorts are cool lol
