i cant remember what way round the conrod goes on this engine its in the right cylinder does it matter if its spun wwong way (not upside down)

what engine is it?

on some engines the rods can go either way and on others they cant.

i expect its a zetec bottom end chip, he's been asking questions about zvh parts/engines etc over the last week

when i built my mates zetec turbo engine, the eagle rods were symetrical, so could have gone in either way.

Ford normaly face their "FORD" logo on the beam of the rod facing forwards, as is the case with the zetec rods, as I had this problem myself roosie.

i put mine in with the little cutouts for the big eng bearings facing the exhaust side

That's not the case on Cosworth engines, the 'Ford' logo faces backwards..

I did say the ZETEC, I always mark things anyway then check as so nit to assume it right in the first place, last machins hop Imused fitted two one way two the other way to pistons.
I got my info years ago from the factory that assembled them.

fuck know, they are Carrillo rods, and martin compared them to cossy rods/crank for the oil holes etc, and thats how we built it lol
