hi all, went to the fast fest show 2day and had a great time, the f1 jordan car was there, the a-team van, kit the knightrider car, the nitro go-kart, 200sx's, sklines etc, etc doing there tricky bits round the cones and loads of rwyb action, have mixed feelings about my pod runs, my runs will follow;
1st run
wasnt nevours at all and having not been up the pod before didnt know the procedure, pulled up to the line put the footbrake on looking to the right of me, took the footbrake off, looked round and the pug gti had gone, the lights where on green
the pug had 2 seconds head start, then to add insult to injury i wheeled spinned the 1st few yards again losing time, then floored it, snaked abit later up the track and was constanly wheel spinning up the track, the tyres where to be fair wet and abit muddy as i couldnt get all the mud in the ridges
time was 1/4 mile in 16.6 @ 86mph
1/8 was 10.9 @ 70mph
won the race though, lol
2nd run
needed to do something this time, was out the car about to get the towel on the tyres when i was ushered forward, not good, again wheel spin off the start and a poor 3 gear change up the track
time was 1/4 mile in 16.3 @ 85mph
1/8 was 10.6 @ 70mph
again won
3rd run
times where 1/4 mile in 16.4 @ 84mph
1/8 10.6 @ 69 mph
again won
so running in the wet with abit of mud, had the baby chairs in, the heavy gazebo, box of bits (heavy), 8 berth tent, other bits and bobs, my couple of errors, wasnt bad at all, lost 1-3seconds, still this is the startin point.
so all in all with all things taken into account not as bad as i 1st thought
