Default Who can supply these seats? Mike R?...

Pinched from Mike's Escort thread, I have checked the RandB Website but couldn't see them on there?

So, how much and where from?

Dan,

i got my seats from D.Tweeks and i know they are cheaper elsewhere, just convenient at the time to pay a bit extra for them,so she did not know how much they were.

do a Google search, will give you plenty more places to choose from.

Mike can supply those seats.

we spoke of it before and he gave a 'very good' price on them.

or you could always buy my seats Dan, but they are almost 3k for the pair
but only weigh 4 kilo's each and made of carbon/kevlar.

they are awesome seats but the price is a down side.

People keep asking why I only have one

My side mounts arent recaro which helps keep price down a bit.

You also need to note that the DT prices have to have VAT added .

Also, if you wish to retain the seat adjustment (up / down / forwards / backwards etc), then you also need the side mount to Ford base adapters as well, which are around another Ł70ish.

If you definitely want a Recaro, pick the seat model you want, the mounting type (fixed with just side mounts or adjustable with Ford base adapter) and I will give you a price, as I deal with Recaro direct .

I also have Recaro Pole Positions in the ST, I bought them from South Coast wheels in Southampton, one of the only Recaro dealers in the south. I think they were about Ł410 each for half ambala leather (posh Recaro talk for vinyl!) and suede (can't remember it was a long time ago)

Ok Mike thanks for that, what adjustment do you have in your Escort? How do you find it?

I think i'd like to keep the adjustment really...

You can see that I have retained the Ford adjustment, which does make the seat a fraction taller than I would ideally like (even on it's lowest setting). However, Harvey has to drive the car, and he is 6'7" (whereas I am 5'8" ), so I need the range of adjustment that the standard seat has.

Mine is the leather option (rather than the vinyl), which makes it a lot more expensive than the prices you have grimaced at so far . So unless you specifically want the leather, you would be better off sticking with cloth if you want to keep the overall cost below Ł500!

its an ok height for most situations but I do need to lean forward to see over bonnet in some situations.

I could adjust back up to next holes in side mounts but then it feels like you are leaning forward all the time

I love the seat Dan, its by far the most comfortable I have ever sat on, even on very long motorway journeys.

Looks cool and makes your car feel like your own racer
