Having real problems with my car at the moment, it wont start.
Compressions there, fuels there and spark is there.
Ive tryed everything I can think off (Fuel relay/fuel pump/Gaskets/imobbiliser..)
TBH im getting sick of throwing stuff at it, I need the starting problem fixing and it set up/checked over so I know its ok! So I can enjoy it whenever we happen to have a sunny day!
Im from the Middlesbrough area, I could get it trailed somewere, maybe Well lane or something, but do they do Diagnostic work? And itll be left there till fixed so I need somewere were it will be secure on a night!

Just trailer it down to Msd mate they'll more then likey have it sorted and set up within a couple of hours.

Thats where mine goes when I have any problems and it's always sorted. Theres no one beside us thats any good mate, just book it in and get it done properly

Sounds like a timing issue is you have fuel and spark there.

Yeh its a S2. Its not the leads! Ive had problems with pipes popping off but Ive checked it over loads of time and I cant find any off.
Was running ok, went to start it one day after having it out and it just wouldnt start, trys to sometimes but it wont.
I had problems before with the fuel so its got a new(ish) fuel pump, relay ect and that ended up being the immobiliser!
Getting a nice spark, so I cant see if being anything that side. And the compression is spot on. And theres plenty of fuel (Not got anything to check the pressure with)
So I really need someone who knows what they are doing with RS's
Im more use to working on brand new Vauxhalls
Will have to find someone with a trailer now, Anyone fancy a drive to sunny Blackpool?

 

Have u tried depressing the metering flap ever so slightly while somone cranks it? Is the fuse to the fuel ECU ok? Have u tried tow starting it?

 

Yeh tryed pressing the flap but nothing, also tryed starting it when I was getting towed back but no luck. I checked all the fuses in the box, they are all ok.

 

Are any of the MSD lads on PF? Sure ive seen people with it in there sigs?

 

have you changed the black fuel pressure box on the metering unit? my s1 had the exact same prob as you had fuel spark etc just wouldnt start changed that and it was spot on

Yeah was talking to Lawnsy the other day and he uses Carwise, personally I'd still use Stu it's almost certain to be fixed the same day. If your stuck for a trailer there's a lad down here rents them out for Ł30 but it means coming up here
