Default Turbo upgrade recommendation..

Currently on my Saph 4x4 I am running the standard turbo along with greens etc and is a healthy 330 ish motor. I was recommended from a rolling road to upgrade the turbo for a better one.

My question, is what is recommended, as long as it is reliable? I was wondering about T35 but i know Bud-Weis runs a T38 i think it is. Whats the differences with them, is one laggy than the other, or are any other engine mods needed for the T38??

I wasmaybe toying around with light blues and a remap, but tbh all i want is to maintain the reliability I have now but maybe run 350-360bhp.

I'm a tad unsure which route to go, and ideally I'd like to get the ALS from Stu later in the year.

Any advice please??

for 350 odd a .48 T34 IMO, any more and a .63 T34 is prob best bet.
T38 is massive overkill.

did you get 330 from a stock turbo? id expect more like 310 or so at best

The dyno form Pj Motorsport shows 329 bhp. The car has stood for some time from the last owner until i bought her, and the rolling road showed her at 294bhp, which is down on power altho tbh it does need a good set up. Im hoping to get that done next month.

.48 T34 will go much higher than 350, especially if head ported.
If you do get ALS make sure FIRST you upgrade the engine mounts, or it WILL break a joint on fronty shaft as ROOSIE's did after he used it.

if you go T38 it'll need to be live mapped really, it can be a bit of a surge monster apparently

for up to 380bhp on a standard head and engine you really can't beat a T45.55 ( or stage 3 T35 as turbo technics call them ) Ask Big Ad to take you out in his, you'll be impressed
