Was he doing the hand movements too?

ANYWAY, back on topic, don't get an MGF unless you know a good mechanic. If the head gasket hasn't gone, it will.

I personally would go more for a car that was built specifically as a coupe/t-bar/drop top like the Mx5, Mr2 etc. EDITEDD TO ADD even the later Pug CC's are quite good if you can stretch your budget.

I've always found that full convertibles [converted from normal model cars and without the cabrio roll bar] are fun to be in but drive like shit. Saabs, 306 Roadsters, Astra Convertibles etc are IMO horrible to drive with the roof down. Horrible. Scuttle shake...

Golf Cabrios are good too for that price though

who the hell in their right mind would buy a fucking MG

Though they are lovely in pink/purple flip paint if you are a raging homo

they should have called the MGF the HGF instead, meaning Head Gasket Failure

I know a mechanic in Yeadon who's sole business is replacing blown head gaskets on Rover/MG's, and he's doing bloody well. yet people still buy them

the headgasket issue on the K-series has been sorted,,, what you need is a landrover freelander k-series headgasket,,,, ive got a infomation pack that was made up by one of the people who solved it,,,, he promises me it is REALLY solved finally,,,, shame its not done in enough time to save rover

fordsportjay has a 325i cabrio for sale for 3k,,, best fucking bargain ive seen for a LONG time,,, infact tempted to buy it myself

MGF is not a good idea as front bumpers are not available for them,, as is ALOT of parts,,, but the headgasket issue is sorted now

Oh dear... and i thought having lots and lots of MG's being sent to the scrap yard was a good thing. Seems they will be littering our roads for a while to come yet, with their mock wood dashboard inserts

A lad at work had a 45 that had this ridiculous traffic master system in it. This was a 53 plate car bear in mind. It worked on GPRS and if there was traffic on the road you were on, a red light would come on, if there was busier traffic, two lights would come on.

How pointless is that?

Like watching snooker on a black and white telly

if your not after a convertible go for the MR2, but its a pain taking out the roof and isn't really like a softtop.

The thing thats always intrigued me about a t-top is....what if you go out when it's sunny, then when you are miles from home it starts pissing down.

I doubt you can fit the panels in the storage area at the front surely?

Do you just end up getting soaked?
