ive decided to rewire and rebuild my car after months of problems. basically what do i need to get 200 bhp from the car and keep it reliable if there is sure a rs turbo

Decent cam
Grs or similar full front mount intercooler
Magnex, Mongoose exhaust
Proper set up
Maybe an uprated clutch depending on the condition of yours.

Service it reguarly and it will last forever

 

hi there mate mine is 198.2 and is running 18 pis 285t2 cam pro alloy fruntmount intorcoller and an armed bajoo chip was setup at gs motorsport and a oil cooler 2 keep it a bit safer but everthing els is standard

never had any probablams in the 4 year it has been running and i have had it a wile now and it is sweet as a nut

What parts you got on your car at the moment.

Intercooler will be 350 - 400
Exhaust - 300 - 350
Cam - 250 - 300
Clutch - 250
Proper set up - 100

Assuming the car is already chipped.

 

not sure if car is chipped noy had the ecu off to check got the exhaust its long term plans mate

 

What boost does the car run

 

standard i have old printout for 184 bhp though

 

Is it totally standard apart from the exhaust, if it is, its not going to make 184 with standard boost

Would be lucky to make 140 with just an exhaust

 

i know that its got -31 actu, a hybrid turbo and a 195 chip in it going by the reciepts ive not had it apart to check it yet just wanting to know what is needed

 

glad u put them up mate was not shure about the price i was going 2 look through the all th e stuff from burtons as thats were i got the car from

but the clutch was 140 ap plate and i got a ap clutch cover for nothing off a mate at burtons

and mine has an ally ras as well so itcam with theintorcoller and fans

but that is about right i think

i dont want to modify my pedal box and taht so i think ill go 180 bhp whats needed for that

I'm not completely sure ripping it all out and trying another method is going to solve it for you though......surely it'd be better to identify the exact fault and then find the best solution?

I just cant help but think you're guna blow a wad and still have problems mate

 

i kmow nut im going to renew alot of things the loms ive got is murder ive got 8 connections on the bat and a live feed to the relay so im going to do the loom and welding then rebuild my old engine

 

8 connections for what exactly?

Chances are its just things for alarns/flashy lights/fan over ride and so on.

 

thats it a dont know my looms got more joints than a stonners convetion
