the wifes trusty old bus is a 1996 galaxy tdi and the starter motor is fooked

it says fits galaxy tdi but only up to late 1995 now as far as i know the engines etc are the same??? so are there diff part numbers for the starter motors? any pics comin up on your database of them?


can anyone help i want to click buy it now but not until im sure

 

not an expery on gaalaxys but on escorts around that time some had the starter at the front and some ahere at the back worth checking mate

 

different starter motors mate

why else would a place that sells them NOT aim it at a bigger market

and if a person who owns a car knows they fit,,, why wouldnt a place that sells them cosidering the company will give them a fitment guide and a cross reference of what other cars they fit

vw tdi engines are not ford engines,,, they require different oil to all other ford engines too due to them NOT being ford engines

 

id you ALSO know that the colours on the TDI badge on the VW's tell you the bhp of it

all red means its the bigger bhp engine, 2 letters the lesser bhp engine and the silver one is the lowest bhp engine,,,, well i think its that way round anyway

 

well i know the engines are the same in the ones even up to 98 etc, just wondering if its a plug thats different etc as that can be resolved, 25 quid for a brand new styarter is not to be sniffed at hence my questions
