I just fitted a set of double valve springs but im using genuine brand new ford lifters, but it seems very tappy, I dont know if the increased pressure of the springs is forcing the lifter to tap, or are you supposed to use uprated lifters or solid ones. any help would be great.

i think with those type of valve springs your required to use the uprated lifters also.

 

Why have you gone double springs?


Did you fit new cam with followers? if not thats most prob the reason why.
