I have a nice xr3i with a turbo lump in it. Iv had i for a a good fuw mounths now as my project and it wont be long till i mot it. Will it pass the mot as it is down as a xr3i on log book or will the emishions be different. If it wont pass like that how could i stop the turbo from working so it just runs like a normal injection.

If the turbo engine is set up right, it should pass the MOT like that. For cars of that age there aren't the car specific guidelines about emissions that there are for new cars.
You know that your insurance will actually be void if you don't tell them you have a turbo engine in it? So you might aswell not bother.

My Escort Cossie insurance is actually CHEAPER with the Mods declared, as it shows I will take better care of the car

As long as you have learnt mate, there is no shame in admitting you made a mistake, do a bit of ringing round and find some prices out
How old are you? How many years NCBs do you have and how many points you got?
