How much have you got to spend?
Also is it going to be a diy job or tuner rebuild as there will be a BIG difference in cost!

Low comp pistons. ARP rod bolts. Pukka head by either Mr Norris or Ian Howell (Fiesta Frenzy). Decent cam (various options, speak to tuners re planned engine spec). Intercooler (GRS is about the best I've seen for S1 use).

Once the engines together it would be worth looking to Bernie to get one of his boxes as the standard box tends to throw its toys out the pram when confronted with some power and torque

Don't forget to sort your stoppers out as well if you haven't allready as the standard S1 brakes are marginal at best and will soon be outphased by any engine tweeking

it has a performance cam from power engineering but i would like
to fit a piper 285T2.
the breaks are S2 rear with uprated shoes and 4x4 cossie discs
with 2wd calipers.
i already have a 1.9cvh block with forge low comp pistons and the
intercooler i want to go for will be a 2wd cossie
i have two boxs at the mo 1 S1 and 1 S2 so might get rid and buy
somthing abit better.
anything else you would go for?

The S2 box I don't think is of any use to you as it doesn't have the pick up points for the tie bar setup.

Sounds like your money should be spent on the top of the engine as the bottom end sounds about sorted.

Im looking into a head at the moment but cant say anymore
at this point.
It will be going EFI but the version is not clear yet as needs
to be compateble with a micro dynamics 5th injector fuel computer.
what box would you surgest?

EFi and a fifth injector don't make much sense together really.

If you are running and EFi set up and it's done properly there should be no need for a 5th injector.

the 5th injector will just be a back up,
as we all know its much better to over fuel (or
should i say have the capebility to over fuel) than
to under fuel and go pop.
but anyway there might be a little something different
on its way for this car.
anything been new tried on an RST lately?
