Default starting after standing question(pics)

i got this old van last week, the engine hasnt been started in matbe 2 years, is there anything i should do before trying to start it?
the van is an unfinished project and hasnt got the petrol tank fitted, ill sourse an rs turbo pump this week,
i just want to get it running before i take the engine out and fit it into my mk5 van

hope you get the pump. dont forget its got no petrol tank!!!!

hehehe yes ill try to remember not to put ptrol into the filler cap or ill have petrol all over the grass, theres another rs turbo engine in the rear but god knows if its anygood or not

Oil change, turn the engine over by hand a few times without the plugs in. And it should be good to go(with some fuel )

change/fill up cooling water. check the air filter at is there, and aint just "dust" take out the plugs and lean them for easier start
