dont take this si the wrong way please, but why?

if the car is standard then i would not bother personly,
only reason i run a D/V is due to not having a 360 bearing in my turbo,
just tryin to prolong life out of t

Im not into dump valves anymore, but when i was a few years ago i only ever fitted Bailey dump valves to all of my turbo'd cars. I tried a couple of different makes but i always seemed to have running issues in one way or another with anything other than a Bailey.

A loud dump valve? It all depends on what boost you are running.
I sell 10 bailey ones to one of everything else.
I do like the Turbosmart ones as well as thee are adjustable and you can toggle between woosh and chatter.

The reasion why i want one is i have always wanted one

I want to change the hoses to black samco hosing but keep all the orignal hose,s etc

it still has the standard ford cd and tape player so they are coming out due to secruity reasions

im going to keep everything so then if i want it to be put back to the way it was when it left ford then i can do.

Do not put a dump valve that vents to air on a small turbo eec-iv Escort as it will cause problems. The ST Escort runs a MAF and you will venting metered air away resulting in the ecu thinking there's more air going into the engine than there actually is.

I would listen very carefully to the CORRECT information you are being given here....... They can cause all sorts of problems, just leave the recirculation valve alone, and it will be fine..... If you want to ruin your car for the sake of a chavvy PTSHHHH then go for it

Thats odd, as MSD are doing my car and advise a recirc valve... , it is an interesting question, but sailor bob is correct about the air going "missing" once it has gone through the MAF, if it gets dumped to atmosphere, as the fuel as already been added by the ECU. I can't see how a re-flash would help as it is still dumping calculated air..., perhaps your dump valve dosn't let much air out?

Just thought Mart, have you still got the original recirc valve on the turbo still connected or is it blanked off?

You cannot reprogram to suit the air being vented to atmosphere because you have no way no knowing how much air is lost. Often the problem that people notice with non circulating dump valves is poor idle and/or stalling.

No mate, hybrid turbo put on by the previous owner 2 owners ago, it was owned by Well lane and they put a T3 front housing on a T25 turbo. As for idling i have no problems with that either. My dump valve is very loud though, i only kept it because i heard that they protect the turbos on small turbo models
