Default Cossie cam cover gasket???????

Took my cam cover off to drill the hole for the breather system, all went well, bought a new gasket from ford to replace the old one, but the old one has the top ( near the pulleys) bit missing........ So do i cut the bit on the new one to match the old one???

Are they the orange sort of colour gaskets that go sort of up and over? Rubbery?

Yes, remove the front part of the gasket

(Should be perforated)

And yes, the half moons he's talking about are usually orange and go up and over

Be sure to use a blob of silicone where the gasket meets the half moons or it will leak!
