In Cyprus, in waterworld ayia napa, theres a ride very similar to this. Really cool but its not that steep so you don't get such a massive jump from the end curve. but still cool as fuck though. theres also one which is very close to vertical. Been on both and that was great.
Look on the right. 2 big long things next to the field one orange one white. They look deceiving but the top is 70ft in the air roughly!!

The orange one is only a few years old. Before it was even steeper literally almost vertical and there was a point where your back did not touch the slide so it was like free fall 
It was pretty dangerous though. My cousin went on that and on the drop down he paniked and tried to sit up and suffered burns on his back and arms. Not nice
But the orange one now is well fun and the other one!

if you guys ever go woburn safari park go in the kids arc play room,, there a 30 foot vertical slide there where kids play on it,,,, i went on it ( after chucking my 3 year old daughter down it first,,,,, no honestly i did 
) and fuck me its scary,,,,, got her out the arc play room though,,, infact she wont go on slides anymore since then,,,,,,
but seriously theres a similer version there if ya wanna have a test to see if you trust it
