Default Am i the unluckiest RS Owner...

Just brought the Cossie home on a breakdown truck, exactly one month after purchase and exactly one week after geting head gasket done

Car started over heating on motorway and went straight into the red when i pulled over to stop. header tank boiling over!

This follows my trand of RS ownership and breakdown membership

2nd RST: G536ODS

Own for two months and bottom end went. got full rebuild using custom pistons etc and bloody end up in a car crash with three cars...car knackered!

3rd RST: B10EEP

You name it this one had it done, various running problems ironed outwith cossie management, head gasket, hybrid turbo, one week after final fault fixed it bloody starts loosing compression!

Makes you think are the cars really bloody worth it

when they did the head gasket did they check to see if your block was cracked,i started to do a head gasket on mine went to put it back together and noticed a crack in the block, this is what caused my engine to over heat and blow the water out the header tank.

i'm getting more and more un-interested in cars lately

it's always the same sh!t; wash them and it's starting to rain, repair them and something else brakes down, hoover them and someone gets inside with dirt on his/her shoes, order some parts; wait for about 8 weeks and discover they've ordered/delivered the wrong parts, etc. etc.

i dont see the fun that you/we should have with cars at the mo

Nearly as bad as me, had cossy 9 days and blew motor, 6 months later did another, now on 3rd engine, I drive around with my fingers and toes crossed while rubbing a rabbits foot, giving any black cats I see a wide berth! (real tears)

mate - i think you wanna get a professional to give it a once over. I have had my RS for over 2 years now and originally i needed to spend money on it as it was standing for a few years - like new brakes, new petrol tank, etc.

then blew engine a few months ago, stuck another one in there and havent had any other probs.

Think you are unlucky and you need to get it looked over y someone that knows there shit

I feel exactly the same at the moment mate.

I bought my 1st cossie, was really careful on the first day of driving it. when i got the bottle to boot it for the first time the tensioner stud pulled out of the head causing the cam belt to go floppy and mashed ALL the valves and ALL the pistons.....................................I had only done 40 MILES FFS
