Default Diesel in petrol tank advice?

Apart from draining the tank and fuel lines, is there anything else i need to do? Maybe spark plugs?

Its on my uncles k reg fiesta 1.1...

Any advice welcome peeps, thanx, ed.

Change the fuel filter if it has one, would change the plugs after you have done a few miles in it when its running again.

did this to a mk1 escort RS2000 i had a couple of years back it melted the metal part of the spark plug to electrode of and the car then stopped on the motorway i sugest changing the plugs or at least having a spare set in the car ready.

yeah change the plugs, but not straight away, and just run the car, i would imagine that for the first 50 miles it wont run as it should but it will sooon rectify itself.
