Default RS1600i missfire problem

I have a 1600i which has the twin coils changed although I do have the twin coils, It has a missfire problem/fuel starvation problem around 4000 revs, I have done most of the obvious things new plugs new leads, fuel filter new filter etc. The problem only started when I ran out of fuel..... any help would be apreciated

Simon

If you have an obvious answer please mail me as I do not get chacne to visit here that often

Blocked fuel line?

I had a missfire like this at 4000rpm and it was a knackered fuel relay. New one sorted it no probs.
