After my sedate drive home last night I noticed ( a couple of times) how harshly the rev limiter is on teh RS Turbo. When I used to thrash the pants off the old XR it used to bounce nicely off the limiter.

I wondering whether it would be possible to put a soft cut limiter on and how much agro it would be. Oh and whether I'd gain any/much benefit from doing so?

 

Not too much agro TBH. You need to remove the factory limiter, then install an aftermarket limiter from someone like Omex. This will allow either a Hard or Soft cut.

 

As christian says the omex 1 is very good had this on my old car with the rpm limit removed from the fuel and boost ecu's.

 

How do you go about removing the limiter from the other ECU's?

Is this what I was hearing about changing the value of the capacitors value?

 

Yes sort of, 1 has fuel cut 1 has spark cut Karl can help you he did all mine dunno anyone else.
