i have this chip and its ofab frst
i am currently using ofac with a 15psi superchip fitted


what i would like to do is move on to my other ofab management and use the pictured chip but im told its no good if its got no tape over the magic eye

is that true and where can i get it remapped??

if this sounds pointless then pls say but i figure im at 15psi now and would like to run more when i transplant the runnin gear out of my rst and into my mk1 xr2

if you wanna run beiges whcih id recomend if u wanna run 15+psi, your better off geting a live map to get the best out of your setup
stu @ msd can do that for u using ofac or ofab

 

think i shud off the ofac and super chip for the ofab then mate??

think the chip will have lost its mem with no tape being over the eye bit??

If it's left in direct sunlight it can wipe the chip IIRC

As long as its been kept out of direct sunlight it should be fine I think

i shud be drivin but dvla has stole my licence
soon as i get it back i can test the car with both to see whats best i guess

if the fab cuts at 10psi then ill just have to send it odd for a remap
do they do a off the shelf type of map??

The OFAB & C are non interchangeable and will reguire new programming. The problem is the programming code is going to be unknown as that is NOT a Superchip for starters...

The window is there so we can bathe it ultraviolet light to erase its contents, so just pop any old sticker over it for protection.

would you be able to reprog the chip??

 

No, Im afraid i only reprogram my own modules, which are the modern ones that are 1/2 the size and less than 1/2 the weight of those pictured.
