Default Hows this carb turbo set-up work? and why...

Sucked through turbo compressor and blown straight into the inlet?

Benefits?

Why?

Dangerous?

If you run an intercooler, would you need to run more petrol through the carb?

Chances of it running lean?

Cheers

DON'T DO IT

Very old skool set up, no chance at all of running an intercooler as any backfire in the inlet will cause it to explode

Common enough on old turbo setups.

Renault 5 Gordini Turbos were like that, as were a few other early turbo cars.

Lots of the early Rover V8 turbo conversions were like it.

Cant run an intercooler, but the charge temps are massivley lower than usual, as the fuel does the cooling.

Wears turbo out faster tho too, both the blades and the seals, tho there are turbos specially made for this purpose.

Overall though not really reccomended.

Not that dangerous on the low boost like they run, I think it was only something like 5-6psi, but if you start upping the boost then expect problems.
