The level 8 has a knock sensor input and a narrow band lambda sensor input plus
has exactly twice the amount of memory as the Level 6 otherwise it is
the same !

The software (CHIPS) between these ECU's are NOT compatiable !

2wd loom also requires the outer two wires on the TPS plug swapping in conjunction with fitting a PF09 4x4 TPS if using the L8. Not all L8's were lambda enabled.

Just to clarify this point Bong,

The lambda function/knock function on a Level 8 is dependant on the software in the chip only.
ALL level 8's had the extra hardware to read the Lambda sensor and knock inputs.

My bad, thanks for clearing that up (so, not all L8 are lambda enabled as I said, but you can enable them to run lambda )
