Default 3 Door Rad fans wiring

On my 2 wd sapphire the wiring from the ran switch runs along the front of the car and along the inner wind on the drivers side behind the turbo and into the fuse box. Is this the same on an RS500? Under the bonnet is a lot more cluttered. I think I have a broken wire somewhere along the line as my cooling fans have stopped working. I have replaced the relay, the fan switch and checked all fuses so if it does run the same way then I suspect it has got to hot behind the Turbo. Don’t want to start stripping stuff out unnecessarily.

Thanks in advance!

Very unlikely that the wire got too hot and caused a problem, more likely thre fuse(holder) or relay is buggered, but simple circuit tests will show where any break is.
Most fan fuses melt their position in the fuse box on cossies, and so are rewired anyway, they were VERY problematic in this area new so older is just worse.

Some people just cut the wire either end of the fuse on the underside of the fuse box then put a seperate fuseholder on, extending the wires up through the fuse box into the main area.

Default Wiring

I have replaced the relay and the fuse is in good working order. The problem is with pin 37. If I stick my continuity tester in the pin 37 hole in the fuse box and then find the brown and black wire under the dash coming out of the fuse boxes the circuit is good, but if I then test the brown and black wire at the plug no circuit. If I manual switch pin 37 with my probe the fans work as they should. So I am tiring to find out which way the brown and black wire runs from the fuse box to the plug to the rad fan switch. Does it come straight out of the fuse box and along the driver’s side inner wing along under the rad to the switch like in the 2wd saph, or does it come out of the fuse box run along the bulk head then out the passenger’s side and along the passenger’s side inner wing to the switch. I am tiring to avoid pealing back a lot of the wiring tape and would like to keep the original wiring if possible

Thanks!

Default Rad fan wiring

Found it! It runs the same route as on athe 2wd saph. There was a brake behind the air box. All fixed and fans cutting in and out as they should.
Thanks for the advice!
