the time has come for me to order the ecu for my car but i dont know were to go for it, i`ve fished about on the search and on the web but i can`t find any real info on reliable suppliers of these units.

anyone reccomend some one to check out.

i noticed his name came up a lot on what threads i managed to find. i pm`d him a few days ago about ms but no reply as yet.

who can map megasquirt then?

Anyone who is happy to do so and is skilled as a mapper, its quite a simple system so not hard to learn.

I think most of the "pro" mappers though wont do so as the quality of the hardware is so variable and they dont want to be ascociated with shit results as a function of the hardware not being built right in the first place.

If you want to pay someone to build it and map it, I would personally not bother with MS, jamsport will supply fit and map gotech for about a grand all in I believe, so I would go for that instead as its the same money basically (if you are paying someone to map it on MS for you) and that way you end up with a more saleable product at the end if you move on at a later date.

Plus you have a single person to point the finger at if there is a problem, not left in the middle with the mapper blaming the ecu builder and vice versa.

 

Its just an ECU so if you can map a DTA/emerald/omex its the same principles....

Theres nothing hidden at all with MS - its completely open to anyone.

 

thats why i want to get it from someone who knows what they`re doing, wouldnt mind having a little go at learning the mapping system myself, purely out of interest not to make money off it.
