Just a quick reminder of my two bonus's to start the thread off

My Silver one which i sold at the beginning of the year
Bought it as a totally standard low owner, FSH car and completely turned it into an RS Turbo.She was mint and running 18psi .




This is my latest Bonus, this one is to be a complete sleeper. Full RST mechanicals but totally standard looks apart from the alloys.If the steels fit over the RST brakes then it will spend alot of time on the steels as well to really annoy people



so heres a thread for us then Bonus/Popular boys, somewhere not just to show off your base model but also somewhere to talk to like minded base model boys with attitude

how long/hard is it to fit a rs lump mate?

aint too hard, you need to budget about Ł1000 tops to convert to RST mechanicals. I reckon i could have a whole car convered in a weekend if i had all the parts

Nice one danny Been thinking we should have somthing like this for a while. Maybe if we ask nicely they might add in a new section for the bonus/popular sleeper boys right next to the escort rs turbo room

yer there are very good condition do you know were i can get some cheap rs turbo door cards 90 spec ones i might give you my door cards

annoying thing is the ones in my silver one were mint and i just lobbed them

i dont have any of my own pics online only some from a few years later when the new owner sold it

sold the car to a guy from near lincoln
he sold his granny cosworth to buy it

 

i remember the guy trying to pass it off as his own quite alot, so i popped the mag in my car and waited for the right moment-sure enough, in front of loads of lads hes there saying how he did it all himself-out comes the magazine, one guy made to look a cock

ok this was my first car ever bought when i was 15

started life as this with 1 lady owner fsh (bought for 250)



then i done a hole load of work (all myself)




then had it painted yellow







then changed it a bit more





then turned it into this with the help of a wall

 

my silver one

found in the back field of a garage was my 1.1 bonus 11

bought for 300 with 12months mot and tax

was completely standard

then bought this bumper off ebay (corsa kit)



then decided the carpet was to fooked for my liking so put a red carpet in




then got some 17's and droped it 60 all round on apex shocks n springs! (best 260 quid i ever spent on a car!!)




then decided was time for a change so bought a set of rs skirts archs and 90 spec spoiler oh and some esc COSSIE wheels :P





then got the rs bumpers and bonnet (90 spec front cut out bumper)





then sold it off with a blown engine for 360 quid
the bloke then fitted a new 1.6 engine (carb) ave it a full respray and bought all the bits i never put on it like the corsa bumper and the bad boy rs bonnet

but unfortunatly these the only pics i have of it as havent seen it since




so theres my 2 and there should be another yellow one again in the future

 

 

here is my bonus... come to a stop atm but will get to work again asap as i wana get on the road.... will be in a garage for exhaust welding and mot then insure it





will get a update asap just real busy atm but there are a few things in the work for this

 

may need some windows for the mot to lol!

good work so far i see a large variety of doner cars ave been used :P



STEVE u no that front bumper on your first bonus? who makes it / what did u make it from?

 

its a lotus carlton rep to fit a cavalier
width was right just had to shorten the sides
there is a place in donny that makes them
rear bumper on it was a renault 19 phase 2
and it had m3 skirts

cheers.. well the boot was one i found in ma garage i didnt know i had so i got the spoiler off saq wen i was dwn his and fitted it to see wot it looked like bonnet was saq coz he got a new 1.. windows are fitted... windscreen i refitted wit ma m8.. boot lid has one as im back to a blue lid till my m8 welds the wiper and lock up and i fit the motor 2 open it. does have door windows jus had them open as i was working on the car. and this month iv come across enuff money 2 trailer it 2 the garage for exhaust welding and mot to see if it needs work... or not ( i hope not and they will mot it then

 

Tony on the silver one (STT) when you got the cossie wheels did it still have the 60mm sus kit on it?

escort mk6 and mondy mk1 steels should fit on there

bumper was not on properly its coming off again anyway when i get a front mount intercooler.

Few more weeks spent on it and even more money, it might be finnished soon

just managed to scan a polaroid i had from when my first grey escort was featured in fast ford
the picture was taken on flixborough wharf near scunny
