hi there to everyone i'm new to this site but it looks the biz and not full of brainless saxo muppets

the question i have is i've just recently come in to ownership of a bright yella mk1 xr2 for pennies just needs a few mot jobs and then its on the road

thing is the gearstick internal joints have worn out and its well sloppy is it possible to fit a 4 speed mk2 fiesta gear selector box to the mk1

 

did you buy the car around Cumbria area ?


I take it there is now way of tightning the joints up at all ?

 

You could refurb the linkage, i.e. fit new pins etc in the UJ's or source another.

It aint an A-plate in luminous yella is it?

nahh its not the one on e-bay as i got this one locally for Ł150 a reet bargain

 

but the thing is i've now sold it on to another m8 as he has more time and money to pile into the little beast
