Default Cooling problem -Think I may have over done it!

I noticed recently with the few days good weather that my saff was running quite hot, it seemed to be around the "N" all the time in traffic. I knew that only one fan was kicking in so I found the problem was a dodgy connection and sorted it out.

I had a new rad sitting around in the garage for a while and decided to fit it because the old rad was in a sorry state. I also removed the A/C condenser and wired in a manual over ride for the fans if I needed it.

Now the problem is at motorway speeds the needle does'nt even get out of the white section at the bottom of the temp gauge and it takes ages for even luke warm air to start coming out of the vents.

im almost certain your problem will be your thermostat has had holes drilled in it to keep it cool and now youve a new rad you dont need them.
ive always had my thermostats drilled a couple of 3 mm holes gives you that head start on cooling when your driving hard. if holes are the right size should sit around the bottom of the R.
stick a new thermostat in im certain thatl cure your problem.

To cold and and borewash and condensed water won't evaporate from the oil, tension in the block, (hot cilinders, cold block), The thermostat isn't there for show purposes
