just cause its got an external gate dont mean its got a screamer.

if money wasnt a huge issue id go external on most big power setups if i could as its a more efficient (exhaust gas flow) setup.

BUT at the same time if i could save money by using a perfectly adequate standard manifold or whatever, that makes sense.

what power you want? 500bhp+ rated GT30 for a 1.6litre 350bhp engine is a bit silly.

and gate size is mostly down to how LOW you want the boost to be able to set, the bigger the turbo and lower the boost you need, the bigger gate you need.

but TBH there not REALLY such a thing as too big, so id just get a 50mm Turbosmart job and be done with it.
