Was it a ford one thou Alyvn or a pattern one?!

Reason i ask is the gf was working for camberly a while back and trying to be helpful she got me a 2wd pattern one for like a tenner or something. Its the right one for a 2wd cos. So was wondering whether its worth using or just getting a proper ford (motorcraft) one!! Dont wanna skimp on it just too save a few quid i'd have to pay out again for later!

Tony, got one from Halfrauds(as they were the only people open on Sunday as it was 15.45) about 4 weeks ago and the ONLY difference you had was whether you wanted one with the viscous fan bit on the front OR NOT!

IF you was talking about a 4x4 then THAT'S a different story!

Yea that was the mistake she made she bought 1 of them home first but changed it for a normal one, guess what im trying to get at is a pattern one just as good as an original motorcraft one or not?!

If its from halfords then it'll be a pattern one btw!

tbh they are pretty good these days, aint the best but there ok

for pattern parts you cant beat the quality of blueprint though,, they even make oe parts for people these days and there catalogues are more than spot on

but quinton hayzell are still ok

hey did you know the name of the person who started quinton hazell is actually called quinton hayzell

Genuine FORD water pumps for 2wd cossie and pinto are DIFFERENT.
I have both sat on my bench.
Cossie one has brass impeller for a start, but still viscous fan fitting.
Dimensionally the same, but the inner depth is much deeper on the cossie one.
Pattern are ok as FORD NEVER MADE WATER PUMPS anyway, made by a third party pattern supplier!!
