Hey folks.
I was under the car tonight and found that the pipe between the air intake (the one near the driver's side front wheel that goes up to the engine) and the manifold on the engine is loose and has been blown out of place. I tried to put it back and although I got it in place, it appears to have a clip around the metal pipe where one end points up and the other down.
I can't for the life of me stretch it round though or see how such a clip can hold the pip in when it appears to fit round the metal outer pipe!
I'd post a pic of the clip but pohotbucket is playing up....

it'll either by a big C clip in which case clip the clip onto the pipe into the groove and force the pipe on, it'll then click into place.
or it'll be the other sort in which case use a pair of pliars.

Nah Chip the pipe that the clip is meant to go round is metal! It has a groove in the side where this is meant to sit in I think, and two raised points on one side it clips round but it just doesn;t seem to go.
Got fookin soaked out in the rain laying under the car lol. One of the VW boys reckons the clip should go on fairly easily. He obviously didn't see me struggling like fook with the pliers!

as said, dont put clip on after piper, put it on the pipe, fit pip correctly then with pliars try and squezze it together to get the two ends to cross over. They are a nightmare to do! and i personally hate them...
