Default can 400+ bhp be reliable ??

im talking about as an every day driver . im seriously considering selling my 540 and getting another taxi .
Im totally prepared for the usual headaches but not sure how reliable they are with modern tuning methods ( its been 3years since i sold my saff and ive missed the power and sound every day since).
any opinions , positive or negative grateully received .

Ello Brad,

Very long time no see mate! how are you?

Get a Saff, greys and T34 .63 and get Karl@ NMS to live map it and job done (providing engine & fuel pump and everything else is upto it first )

That should give you nigh on 400BHP (380)

But for 400+, I wouldn't like to say, decent engine with T38 I guess?

If it's built for the job then yes.

I think Mike Rainbirds previous engine did several thousand miles and that was around that kind of power.

It dont more than 7k. 400bhp engine will be fine if done right and not a build which has cut corners. IMO it will be rest of car that will cause probs etc...

Depends what you class as reliable.

If you want to drive it hard and it last 100,000 miles at 400+, then no it cant

Mine gets used everyday (has done for the last 6 years or so, most of those at stage 3, last couple at 451bhp), as per Pete - puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it

Get the engine spec'd and built right, mapped right, and uprate the bits that need doing - look after it, and it'll look after you.

i kinda guessed that . i dont drive like a coont everywhere , infact i sit in traffic for 3 miles of my journey everyday . i have the occasional mad moment where the cobwebs get blownout but not often cos my bint doesnt like driving too fast .

Possibly not worth the expense for 6 miles a day, the cars barely going to have warmed up.
