Default S2 Wont start when hot

Im a newbie here with a few problems, ive just bought an escort rst 1989 plate

The problem is the car will start and run fine when cold, although suntimes a little lumpy on tickover .

When its hot it just wont start, the starter turns, and i have a spark but it just wont fire.

If you leave the car for an hour it will start fine

Has anyone had this problem or has an idea what it mite be???

under the inlet manifold theres a plug going to the middle joining to a injector with a red thin pipe coming off it, take that off see if it starts when it hot as cold start valves on rst's are poo

check the plug under the inlet manifold and see if this is attached or snapped in any way as that can make it run crap.

I had the same problem with mine about a year ago, tried various bits but it was the fuel pump relay up behind the dash on the drivers side that sorted it out in the end
