Default MK1

thinking of buying this fiesta MK1 but although i dont know much about fiestas and eveyone ive asked its either yes or no

its a 1.6
running twin 40 webbers
apprenly a lightend and balanced bottom end
been bored out
its runs havnt seen it move though cause of 3 flat tyres
ist red haha
£600 he wants for it
clean inside an all
and its got the round headlights not the sqaure ones

Sounds like MK1 XR2.
1.6 is standard, check carefully as it is hard to get particularly egine buts now for these, x flow bits DO NOT FIT, as it is a 1.6 version of VALENCIA engine, ie fwd not x/flow although they look identical.

ps make sure it is a 1.6 and not boggy 1.3 tarted up!!

Hard to tell, I would take any work that you can't see like engine work inside with a pinch of salt.
Rust is obviously going to be the main concern at this age, there are a few and it is a few components that can be used modded from other engines like pistons, at £40 a set!!, if rebore needed etc.
Certainly worth a look IMO.

the 1.3/1.6 in the mk1's are x'flows

slightly different block to the RWD ones as they dont have the mounts on one side

£600 seems cheap though
