cam belt??????

Default cam belt??????
just had a 1.8 zvh fitted in my s2 rs turbo and have just noticed the cam belt is half on and half off the top cam pully can anyone suggest why this is ????????????????????????

i think you need to space the cam pulley out to match the crank/waterpump pulleys

A 2.5 or 3mm spacer is needed behind the camshaft pulley to equalise the distances of the pulleys from the block so the cambelt runs fairly close to the centre of all the pulleys.

it might be that but it looks alot more than 3 mm more like 5 or 6 mm

Being as its a "pick n mix" engine set up you're guna have to customise little things like that so its all just right.

A lot of pissing about IMHO

mine is spot on as if its a cvh it must be the tensioner or water pump !! get it fixed""
